NEGLECT PRACTICE FORTNIGHT - The Vulnerabilities of Unborn & Babies

This briefing will aim to raise the understanding and awareness of the vulnerabilities of unborn and babies to support multiagency safeguarding practice and consider multi agency policies and procedures to support this.  There will be opportunities to consider findings from both national and local reviews.

Professionals across all agencies need to use their professional curiosity to better understand what is happening to babies, including the unborn, to consider what their lived experiences and daily lives are like.  This briefing should support professionals to identify when there is need for swift early intervention, not only to protect and safeguard this vulnerable group but to also ensure they have the best possible start in life.
