NEW Approach to Child Protection Conferences & Core Groups

The Approach to Child Protection Conferences and Core Groups is changing!

Sefton Children’s Social Care are making changes to the way Child Protection Conferences and Core Groups are run. 

Professional’s experience of attending Child Protection Conferences and Core Groups will be very different due to the changes in agenda. 

Whilst preparation for conference for partners remains the same, there will now be an expectation that agency reports MUST be submitted to the Safeguarding Unit and Parents/Carers 3 working days in advance of the conference. This is to allow for materials to be shared and read prior to attending.

For a better understanding of the changes, please ensure to book onto one of the virtual briefing sessions as this will provide a more detailed outline as to why the change is required and what the meeting format will look like going forward.
