Principles & Pathways for Child Neglect
Delivered by Mersey Care NHS Trust...
Neglect is the ongoing failure to meet a child's basic needs and the most common form of child abuse.
A child may not have access to food or hygiene products, proper clothing, shelter, supervision or health care. This can put children and young people in danger and can also have long term effects on their physical and mental wellbeing.
This training will help you to identify the signs of neglect, explore the different categories, look at the impact that neglect can have on the child in the long term and highlight tools that can support you in practice.
