Recognising & Responding to Child Sexual Abuse

Acknowledging the lessons from the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel Report 2024 "I wanted them all to notice", Sefton Safeguarding Children Partnership has developed an umbrella course that returns all area of Child Sexual Abuse into one focus for practitioners. The course content supports:

• Recognition of the signs and symptoms of Child Sexual Abuse. 
• Recognising when children show as well as tell;
• Exploring intra-familial child sexual abuse
• Harmful sexual behaviour
• Non-recent sexual abuse
• Demonstrating local policy & pathways to promote confidence & competence in response to child sexual abuse
