Sefton SCP invites you to attend this essential training opportunity delivered by multi-agency partners.

Strategy Meetings and Section 47 Enquiries - Where agencies suspect a child is suffering, or likely to suffer significant harm, the local authority should convene a multi-agency strategy meeting to decide whether to initiate enquiries under section 47 of the Children Act 1989.

This training session is essential for all multi-agency professionals, including managers and leaders who have regular contact with children, young people and their families.

This session will enable delegates to:

• Understand thematic learning and best practice in attending, contributing to and sharing decision making.
• Learn when and why we hold multi-agency Strategy Meetings and Section 47 Enquiries in a timely manner
• Understand multi-agency responsibilities including your own role, and how we can challenge and escalate decisions
• Offer an opportunity to reflect on language and thinking about our own values
